These are the animals currently at DCAAC (Animal Control) located in Fort Payne, AL. They are animal control not only for the City of Fort Payne but the entirety of DeKalb County. If you or someone you know has lost their pet OR if you or someone you know is looking to adopt an animal please check this album.

Always encourage your friends to check with the shelter (repeatedly) if their pet is missing.

For detailed information about any of the animals you see, contact the shelter by calling 256-304-0474 or by going by the center between the hours of 9-4; Monday through Friday.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal from the shelter can do so by filling out an application.

If approved, the fee is $80 and includes: spay/neuter, deworming, rabies vaccinations, microchipping, and 30 day free pet insurance. THIS IS A DEAL! Most shelters charge a much higher fee.
